Denmark bans sex with animals
Denmark announces ban on bestiality
A new law banning bestiality in Denmark has been announced this week. Agricultural Minister, Dan Jorgensen revealed that his decision was encouraged by the fact that the bestiality law – or lack of – is damaging the country’s reputation.
Mr Jogensen told the Eksta Bladet:
I have decided that we should ban sex with animals. That is happening for numerous reason. The most important is that in the vast majority of cases it is an attack against the animals. Dan Jorgensen
Similar to how tourists flock to Amsterdam for a guilt-free evening with a lady of the night, a rise in sex tourism from zoophiles – people attracted to animals – has become a concern in Denmark. According to reports, the liberal attitude towards animal antics, shall we say, has led to an increased popularity in ‘erotic zoos’ where visitors are encouraged to abuse animals such as llamas and goats.
The bill, which will include further changes to the country’s welfare animal laws, will be introduced into the Danish Government in 2015. Better late than never, right?
